A classic alpine traverse through the Ptarmigan Mountains in the North-Central Washington Cascades. Traditionally performed in a southward direction (from Cascade Pass to Lizard Pass to Suiattle River) but can be performed in a northward direction (from Suiattle River to Lizard Pass to Cascade Pass).
