Full Trip Report
On Sunday, Fay, Randy B, Anne, Lesley, and I joined Janet for her birthday snowshoe climb of Yellow Hill in the Teanaway Mountains. The forecast called for 3 inches of rain, but we actually got a mild, sunny day. That must have been Janet’s gift from the Teanaway Mountains.
We parked at the end of the plowed M.F. Teanaway River Road, about 1 mile before Indian Campground. This left us with a 3.7-mile walk up the snowy road to the trailhead. From there, a pleasant up-and-down hike along the ridge crest led to the summit 1.8 more miles away. Miraculously, we stayed in a big blue-sky sucker hole all day, without a drop of rain.
