I’ve visited 100 of them over the years, and I have a half-dozen favorites. My No. 1 favorite is McGregor Mountain above Lake Chelan, so I wanted to do an alpine ascent rather than taking the trail (although the trail is a scrambling challenge on its own). On a sunny day when the local crags are very busy, On a sunny day when the local crags are very busy, it was nice to explore some crags that are off the beaten path. Eileen, Andrew @ajwilrad and I had a lot of fun rock-climbing at Black Iron Slab, Cold Creek Slab, and Denny Creek Boulder, even getting in some multi-pitch practice.
