A mountainous sub-region in the Central Washington Cascades, bounded by South Fork Snoqualmie River (Interstate-90), Lake Keechelus, Stampede Pass, Sunday Creek, Chester Morse Reservoir, and Cedar River. Iron Horse State Park extends along the entire northern margin of this sub-range. Notable landforms include Mt. Washington, McClellan Butte, Silver Peak, Abiel Peak, Tinkham Peak, Mt. Catherine, Roaring Ridge, and Meadow Mountain.
